Setting up your controller for Steam and Game Access
Depending on your controller/joystick model, you may need to perform additional settings to make it work with certain games, including Steam games and Regata OS Game Access. The process is very simple and can be done with the SC Controller (or SC Control) application.
You can find the tool in the Regata OS application menu, by searching by its name or by navigating to Applications ➞ Settings. With the utility open, access the main menu by clicking on the green (or gray) icon located in the upper left corner of the app window, then click on "Settings". In the new window that opens, go to the "Controllers" tab.
Now click on the "Register New Controller" button to configure a new controller. In the new window that opens, select the desired device and, in the upper right corner of the window, click on the "Next" button to proceed with the configuration of your controller.
The next step now is to choose the controller model that most resembles your peripheral, which also includes the model of the buttons located on the right side of the controller (ie, if they are Xbox style, with letters, or like PlayStation that has geometric shapes). Then click on the "Next" button.
Now it's time to configure the controller buttons. For this, for example, in the application interface, click on the button you want to configure so that a new window appears and ask you to press the same button on your controller, so that the utility can correctly direct each action to its respective button.
If your control has levers, when you click to configure any of them, you will see two options, with the first option (Change mapping for Pressing stick) which can be used to configure the central click and the second (Change mapping for Moving stick) to configure the lever movements. Remember that the settings can be redone in case something goes wrong.
After completing the configuration process for your controller, click the "Save" button to save the changes and close the application.
